This was the very first time I taught Adult Sunday School at Solid Rock Bible Church in Kansas City on July 5th, 2020.

My teaching style (as a lover of books and Church Librarian since this same time period) is to take a book, somewhat rewrite it (not for publication but for my lesson notes).

I insert scriptures in areas where there might not be. I use examples from society today, examples in the life of our Church as well as from my life, my family life, etc.

I insert pauses and voice inflection as I feel appropriate. and make it "come alive" for a few chapters. I then (especially when we have copies in the Church Library) encourage those I'm teaching to go check out or purchase a copy.
